Can you outsmart the Betrayers in your team?

The Betrayers requires teams of 6–10 people to take on exciting outdoor challenges that will utilise all their strengths to win the most gold. Whilst navigating puzzles and physical tasks, each team must work together to figure out who amongst them is the ‘traitor’ out to sabotage their efforts. Suspect everyone and trust no-one!

Each challenge will run from 5 to 15 minutes, and this captivating outdoor event lasts for approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on group size and location.

The team that collects the most gold and correctly identifies their Betrayer(s) will earn bonus points and be crowned the winners. A separate prize will also be awarded to the winning Betrayer(s).

Our varied mix of interactive outdoor challenges encourages strategic thinking, problem solving, communication and observation skills, including:

Totem Pole: A fast-paced fusion of physical teamwork and strategic deduction. Inspired by the classic game Mastermind, teams must assemble the correct sequence of coloured blocks to unlock gold. Can your team crack the code before time runs out?
Zodiac: A mind-bending logic puzzle where nothing is quite as it seems. Teams must match star signs to their correct traits and symbols, analysing patterns and clues to progress. Keep your wits sharp—the Betrayers may subtly skew the logic to throw you off course..
Tipping Point Balance: Communication and composure are everything in this verbal-only challenge. Working together, teams must guide a delicate set of scales into perfect equilibrium. One wrong instruction can send everything crashing down—especially if a hidden Betrayer is whispering “helpful” hints.
Reflection: Use precision, focus and crystal-clear teamwork to direct a laser beam onto a distant target using only mirrors. Success demands coordination and problem-solving under pressure—but watch closely. A well-timed mirror adjustment from a Betrayer could send your beam wildly off track.

What type of venue is suitable for The Betrayers?

Sufficient outdoor space for the number of delegates and flat, level ground with well-kept grass.

Is there any reason why colleagues should not take part in an Outdoor Betrayers?

Some of the activities are physical, but with notice, we can adapt the activities to be more inclusive / less physical. Please advise your Eventurous event executive if this is something you wish to discuss further.

What if it rains on the day?

In case of rain, it is always best to have a contingency, as this event can get messy if wet! Try looking for a venue with some covered space which you can use as shelter should the weather take a turn. Look at tipi hire as an option.

Do we need to hire a PA?

We include a PA system within The Betrayers package. This will be arranged and operated by your Event Manager.

Are there prizes for the winners?

Medals are awarded to the team with the most points, and to the winning Betrayer(s). You can add further prizes or donate to charity should you wish. Speak with our event management team for help.
