Watch the action from this team building activity. See how this hands on activity brings team members together as they work collaboratively to build their very own wind turbine! Igniting a competitive spirit within your team members this mildly physical challenge is a perfect sustainable choice for your next team away day!
Unleash the Power of Your Team
We challenge your team to test and explore sustainable energy solutions by building their very own free-standing Energy Production System (EPS); propelled only using wind power!
Each group receives a standard box of equipment filled with sustainable, resource-efficient, and reusable materials. Materials carry a ‘carbon cost’, reflecting the environmental impact associated with their use. Each EPS system should aim to be as close to carbon neutral as possible!
Teams earn ‘carbon offset credits’ by testing their sustainable and green knowledge, and completing photo and video challenges related to renewable and clean energy sources. The earning of these ‘offset credits’ helps to manage the sustainability of the project & bring down the overall ‘carbon cost’ of their EPS. Can your team achieve carbon neutrality?
This hands-on sustainable team building activity is a powerful way to connect with colleagues, encourage collaboration, and inspire mindsets of a more sustainable future.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to the wind farm once it has been made?
Each wind farm will be carefully broken down and packed away into their kits ready to be used again on future events. It is our priority to use high quality equipment that can be re-used to ensure we are minimising waste.
Can we build wind farms at our office?
Yes you can build wind farms at your office, should you have sufficient space and tables for teams of 6 – 8 to work on. It can be held inside or outside.
Can this activity work alongside my conference?
Yes! If your conference consists of cabaret style tables it is super easy to set up our Wind Farm team building challenge around your conference and fits great with sustainability themes you might be promoting.
How do teams test their sustainable and green knowledge and complete photo and video challenges?
Each team is given an iPad to answer questions which test their sustainable and green knowledge.
The better the team’s knowledge, the more offset credits earnt by the team. Photo and video challenges taken and recorded using the iPads earn bonus offset credits.
Is there another way to earn offset credits that doesn’t involve use of iPads?
Should you wish for teams to earn offset credits without use of iPads, teams can instead engage in a selection of teambuilding challenges.
