Happy Habitats

Happy Habitats is designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and a love for nature! Your teams will work together to support local biodiversity by creating shelters for various wildlife and insects all while engaging in fun, educational challenges along the way. This CSR team building activity can work indoors or outdoors for small or large teams of 20 – 300.

Compete in Challenges for Materials to Create Your Habitat

Each team must channel their inner apprentice to create, produce and pitch a habitat to a panel of judges and sustainability experts.

As part of this your team must nominate a Project Manager to lead the task throughout the session and work to a budget to produce your habitat based on the materials available from the shop.

You must also create a marketing communications plan by mocking up a design of an A1 advert with your logo, brand and slogan aimed at the creatures who will become residents in your happy habitat, whether that be a Bird Box, Bat Flat or a Bug Hotel.

Each team must then produce a 5 minute presentation to the other teams and/or judges.

Using research presented to you throughout the task you must come up with:

Unique Selling Point What makes yours the best it can be and better than any others currently out there.

Target Market (creatures) This is a group of creatures that your business will decide to aim your product towards. A well-defined target market is the first element of a marketing strategy.

Design and implementation Where you plan to position your habitat to best increase chances of residents moving in. What and when do they prefer? What colours would make it attractive and why?

Teams are then rewarded with donating their habitats to a local farm or wildlife sanctuary. Better yet we can install them at our premises here at Mythe Farm and we will send you photos of your habitats in place on our 150 premises.
