Experts in team building and corporate events made their mark on the events and hospitality industry last week when they attended the Famtastic Awards at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly. In an evening of celebrations for top talent within the industry, Eventurous shone, walking away with two awards – Green Initiative of the Year and Team Building Company of the Year.
With over 34 years’ experience in managing corporate events, from team building in London to award ceremonies in Manchester, the awards come at a time of record-breaking growth for the agency.
Kieron Bowen, the Sales Director at Eventurous, says; “2023 has been a memorable year for us. We decided to enter several industry awards for the first time this year, not really knowing what to expect…”
Kieron continues… “Our team were ecstatic to be named a finalist for Sustainability at the M&IT awards, runners up for Sustainability at the miaList awards and for winning the Team Building Company of the Year and Green Initiative of the Year award at the Famtastic awards! These achievements have been a great motivator for the team and demonstrates the power of people and our commitment to our values.”
According to reports, team building and corporate events are thriving, as evidence also suggests that concerns for employee wellbeing and satisfaction are continuing to rise. Over half of UK employees say that their performance improves when they feel valued, which is why team building is now seen as vital to a happy and high performing team.
The team building experts at Eventurous put their wins down to their strong company culture, positive team and customer focus. This award winning agency continues to operate with transparency and authenticity as they continue to take action showing they care about people and the planet.
Ellie Cashmore, Sustainability and Culture Champion at Eventurous says; “The pandemic left a need for connection and collaboration but in a more responsible way. We decided that the world had changed and therefore we needed to change with it. It was the perfect time to re-evaluate our strategy and as part of that, we recruited new talent, assigned a Green Team and Culture Champions, refreshed our brand and with that our values. Making sure we held ourselves accountable for incorporating them into everything we do.”
Ellie adds… “Two of our four core values are about caring for people and the planet. So, to win awards for doing just that really highlights our commitment and strength as a team. Seeing our industry colleagues and partners express their congratulations has been truly heartwarming and we know that together we can continue to thrive in this vibrant and ever changing industry.”
Eventurous shared their victory with friends and venue partners Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre, who received the highly commended award for Green Initiative of the Year. A wonderful moment for two teams of people who work as one to provide memorable team building events in Birmingham, that don’t cost the earth.
