Channel 4 approached Eventurous to help facilitate an engaging activity for 200 colleagues as part of an informal team away event. After working with them to understand their event objectives and key outcomes, we recommended our in-person iPad Treasure Hunt. Our iPad Treasure Hunt was the perfect solution for Channel 4 as it provided a unique combination of tasks and challenges whilst allowing team members who had never met face-to-face to connect and get to know one another.
Taking place in Camden, London, our iPad Treasure Hunt successfully facilitated groups in high-energy tasks while breaking the ice between employees.
On the day of the event, Channel 4 were briefed by one of our expert event managers before being split into teams of 5-6 players. Using our latest GPS device, teams headed out in Camden to locate GPS hotspots, complete challenges and secure a leading position on the scoreboard. To earn maximum points, players needed to work collaboratively together.
185 hotspots were distributed across Camden and challenges in the activity ranged from location-specific questions to trivia puzzles, and interactive video tasks. Our technical team also included 10 personalised and bespoke questions.
After 2 hours adventuring the bustling streets of Camden, teams were invited back to their offices for the final presentation where the winners (and losers) were announced. At the end of the event, our event manager showcased the best photos and videos in a fun slideshow that got plenty of laughs!
Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive and fitted perfectly into Channel 4’s agenda, providing the perfect post-conference activity. The photo and video challenges were particularly well-received as it allowed teams to unleash their creativity and teams were left feeling invigorated and energised as they got to experience an exciting adventure throughout London.
'The inter-regional team work we have seen following the event has been great, especially with communication between individuals that would not normally have exposure to each other..'
