Dragon Boat Racing

The key to Dragon Boat racing is timing, which makes this a superb team building activity. The better the timing of the whole team, the faster the boat goes. Your day could be split with other activities to make a full team build day, or why not have an exclusive dragon boat event? On a normal day teams would expect to take part in 3 heats with the best 8 teams going into 2 semi finals, then a grand 4 boat final. The heats could be on either a short course (approx 250M) or a long course (approx 450M). On the day we will provide all equipment (including paddles and buoyancy aids), instruction, boat marshalling, safety boat cover, A race control centre in a marquee and a PA system to call teams to the loading area and commentate on the racing. Our Dragon Boats are 30 or 40 feet long with 10 or 20 paddlers, a helm steering and a team member sat at the front beating the timing on a big drum.
